Dollar Tree Snowman Candle Holder | By Creating | Hey everybody it's Janice with Creating two KS. I'm going to start this project off with this Dollar Tree vase. And I'm going to take this piece of contact paper. I cut it into an oval shaped and I'm going to place that right in the center of my vase here. And I'm just going to press it down and make sure that it's fully attached all the way around. And then I am just going to take a pouncer brush and some white paint and I'm going to pounce white paint all over the rest of the vase. And I'm going to go right over the top of that contact paper and I'm doing this so that I have a perfect shape for the window that I'm looking to make in this. So, I'm just going to pounce this paint all the way around Making sure that I don't miss any piece of it. And then I'm going to let that fully dry and then I'm going to add a second coat. So once I have that all done I'm going to let it dry and then here I'm going to do a second coat on there. And just the same process just pouncing that white paint on and I just used white acrylic paint. Once that's fully dry, I am going to take and peel out that contact paper. So, I'm just going to kind of poke a hole in it here and then just peel it up and I'm going to peel really slowly so that I don't peel up the paint on the edges once I have that all up I'm going to make sure that I push down any paint on the edges and if anything messes up you can just add a little paint I'm going to make sure that glass underneath there is nice and clean and I'm going to lay this on a face cloth so that the next part it doesn't roll around I'm going to take this rub on transfer from Timeless Designs and I'm going to set that right in the middle of the oval it's just a snowman with a tree and some presents I'm going to make sure that that's centered right in the oval and then I'm going to start rubbing that on with the little that comes with it. And again just pressing that down. Going all over the whole design. And then I'll go back up to the top and slowly start peeling it off. You want to make sure that you have it all adhered before you start peeling the plastic. Now I'm going to slowly start peeling it and as I peel I'm going to rub with the applicator as I'm peeling it up. And going slow as not to miss any pieces making sure that it's fully adhered. And just slowly peel the whole thing up. Once I have that all on there I'm going to take some of this glitter paint and I got this at Dollar Tree and I'm going to go around and just paint that section over the transfer so the entire oval with the glitter paint and just go all the way around the entire oval till it's fully covered Then I'm going to take my pouncer again and I'm going to go around once this was fully dry. I'm going to go around all the edges and I'm going to make it so that that oval is a little less defined so that it doesn't have such sharp edges and I'm going to soften up the edges by adding just a little bit of white paint all the way around. And just covering up that stark edge and I'm going to do that until I finish the whole thing and I went over it twice just to make sure that you couldn't see that defined line anymore once I have that all finished I'm going to take this snowflake it's a felt snowflake I think I got them at Hobby Lobby and I'm just going to take some Aileen's tacky glue and I used a paint brush just to apply this to the back of this I'm just going to apply a bunch of glue here. Making sure that I cover it all around the whole entire snowflake. And then I'm going to add that to the top right hand corner of the I'm just going to add that right there. Hold that until it sets. Once I have that all on there, I'm going to take a couple of pieces of raffia. I'm going to tie that around the top and put a little bow Just pull that through and then just tie it off into a little bow. Then I'm just going to cut off the excess on the tails. Once I have that all on there. Isn't that so cute? I'm going to add some faux snow from Dollar Tree to the bottom of the vase. I put a good amount of it in. And then finally I'm going to add a flameless tea light and that is it. This project is finished. I think this turned out absolutely adorable and I love it. Thank you guys for watching. I hope you enjoyed this video. I hope it inspires you to make one and as always don't forget to spread the chaos.
