marcello donadello They are right: they're so (apparently) nonchalant and cynical that you are driven to file them as just another “good band”. But their cds (burned from mp3s, when not available) aren't loose in a jar: they're on a shelf quite near my stereo, and they spin regularly. And their lyrics always make me smile, or offer a good advice, or just a pat on my back to brush away some sadness. And when their voices go polyphonic on a bridge or a chorus, you can't help but think “They're good like nobody else” Favorite track: loose change in the same jar.

you torture me each night singing the kind of songs your sister used to like i'm touching 39 it feels kinda weird admitting that outright we're singing the wrong speed songs surer than eye sees eye sure as the icepick picks the ice i came here for pizza and then go withdrawing over time and absorbed in computer life evenings twiddling with typecheckers again i want to be outside but i'm just too fucking tired and the one place i liked just stopped paying their rent we almost had it made, a week of shitfaced sundays
3.
i'm picking out a shirt to wear it's been 3 months (at least) since I last had to care about whether what i was wearing was a complete embarrassment a story that we always love the hero that flips off his boss it's nice pretending for a little moment that we're not complete cowards but i'd probably just back down you know that i'd just back down a kind of guy i always hate shares my interests but not my taste it's like a grotesque mirror's been constructed facing straight into my house we're just loose change in the same jar take me back, a careless has-been but i'm moldable entirely to any shape that you want me to be ten more years of feeling like an accident we've been relying on strangers we've been relying on strangers, not ourselves
