Noah is a desktop app for Mac and Windows. You describe the problem in plain English. Noah runs a small set of audited tools (processes, resources, network, the system log), names the cause, proposes a one-sentence fix, and runs it only when you tap approve.

What can Noah fix?

The common software and configuration problems: a slow computer, Wi-Fi and internet issues, apps that keep crashing, storage that's almost full, fast battery drain, a mic/camera/audio that won't work in Zoom or Teams, and files that won't sync (iCloud, Dropbox, OneDrive). For anything out of scope — a dead SSD, a recovery situation, an OS reinstall — Noah tells you it's out of scope and points you to who can help.

Is Noah just ChatGPT with a Mac wrapper?

No. The conversation uses a language model, but every action is a hand-built tool with a fixed scope. Noah can't execute arbitrary shell or PowerShell. It inspects your machine, identifies the likely cause, proposes a safe fix, asks for approval, executes it, and records what changed.

Will Noah fix a hardware problem like a broken battery or dying SSD?

No. Noah is for software, configuration, diagnostics, performance, network, app, sync, and system-health issues. It diagnoses the symptom and tells you when it's hardware so you know whether to book a repair appointment. For cracked screens, battery replacement, liquid damage, or board-level repair, use Apple or a local repair provider.

What if Noah breaks something?

Every change is logged and undoable — "undo that" works. Destructive operations need a second confirmation, and Noah never runs anything you haven't seen and approved.

No credit card to start — that is the difference. Noah is free to use, and we think you'll be glad to pay when it has earned its keep. Then you choose a one-time Noah Pass ($29) or Noah Guardian ($79/year). There is no monthly subscription.

Does Noah work on Windows?

The Windows build is in beta at https://onnoah.app/windows — it works today and is still being polished. It uses the same conversation model and Action Log; the diagnostic tools differ to match what each OS exposes.
