The Massachusetts Teacher was a 19th-century American educational journal.

Publication History

The Massachusetts Teacher began in 1848. In 1856 and 1857 it was published as The Massachusetts Teacher and Journal of Home and School Education, and then reverted to its original name. In 1872 it was published as The Teacher, reverting again in 1973. It ended in 1874, and then merged with other New England educational periodicals to form The New England Journal of Education (now the Journal of Education).
