Minutes of the Session of the Blue Ridge Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church

Minutes of the Session of the Blue Ridge Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church was the annual record of the Blue Ridge Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. The title varied somewhat over time.

Publication History

The Blue Ridge Conference began in 1879 as the Southern Central Conference, carved out from the North Carolina conference, but including churches in parts of North Carolina, Virginia, and South Carolina. Its first annual meeting was held in 1880. It adopted the Blue Ridge name by the time of its 1881 conference. In 1896 an Atlantic Mission conference was spun off, but it was united with the Blue Ridge conference around 1911. The main present-day Methodist conference covering its area is the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church.
