Memoirs of the American Anthropological Association
Memoirs of the American Anthropological Association was a monograph series published by the American Anthropological Association in the 20th century. The exact title of the series varied over time.
Publication History
The American Anthropological Association's first Memoir dates from 1905, and was initially published under the heading "Memoirs of the American Anthropological and Ethnological Societies". The first full volume of Memoirs of the American Anthropological Association covers 1905-1907. The first 6 volumes contained 28 Memoirs in all, and memoirs began to be published with individual numbering starting with number 29 in 1923. The series title shifted to "Memoir Series of the American Anthropological Association" in 1942. Some Memoirs were published as supplements or parts of the Association's journal American Anthropologist. By 1953 the Memoirs were simply headed "Memoir". The first copyright-renewed issue is 1953 (no. 75). We know of no actively copyright-renewed contributions. (More details) The last Memoir we know of was published in 1963.
