Mining and Scientific Press was a weekly journal of useful arts, science, and mining and mechanical progress published in San Francisco in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Publication History

Mining and Scientific Press began publishing under that title in 1860, succeeding Scientific Press and Mining Advocate and continuing its issue numbering. It was renamed Scientific Press in 1870, but resumed as Mining and Scientific Press in 1872. All content of this serial is in the public domain in the US. It ran until 1922. It was then absorbed by Engineering and Mining Journal, which published as Engineering and Mining Journal-Press for a few years thereafter.
