Publication History

The Monthly Journal of Medical Science began publishing under that title in 1846, succeeding the London and Edinburgh Monthly Journal of Medical Science and initially continuing its volume numbering. It began a new series in July 1846, and another in 1850. The Monthly Journal of Medical Science ran until 1854, and then in 1855 changed its name to Monthly Journal of Medicine, beginning yet another series.
