Publication History

Nashville Union and American began in 1868, as a merger of the Nashville Daily Gazette and the Nashville Union and Dispatch. (The name was also also used by an earlier Nashville Union and American that had published unti 1862.) This title ran until 1875m, when it merged with the Republican Banner to form the American.
