Publication History

The state of North Carolina's General Assembly first met in 1777, succeeding earlier colonial assemblies dating back to the 1600s. The Assembly continues to meet today.

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1854-1872: HathiTrust has law volumes from about 7 years before the Civil War to about 7 years afterwards.
• 1860-1861: The Internet Archive has the public laws of the 1860-1861 session.
• 1861: The Internet Archive has the public laws of the second extra session of 1861.
• 1862-1863: The Internet Archive has the public laws of the 1862-1863 session.
• 1863: The Internet Archive has the public laws of the 1863 adjourned session.
• 1893, 1895, 1897, 1899-1901, 1903, 1905, 1907-1909, 1911, 1913, 1915, 1917, 1919: HathiTrust has public law volumes from the late 19th and early 20th century.
• 1920-1921, 1923-1925, 1927, 1929.1931, 1933, 1935-1939, 1941: HathiTrust also has many public laws volumes from the 1920s through the early 1940s.
