North Dakota Quarterly began in 1910 as the Quarterly Journal of the University of North Dakota. Early issues contain articles on a variety of subjects, often related to North Dakota or the university. The first series ended in 1933, and a second series, the first to use the current name, began in 1956. It is still published today.
