Negro Digest began in 1942. Publication was suspended in 1951 but resumed in 1961. No issue copyright renewals were found for this serial. The first copyright-renewed contribution is from January 1962. (More details) The magazine was renamed Black World in 1970, and ran under that title until 1976.
