Outing

Outing was an American recreation magazine published in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. (There is a Wikipedia article about this serial.)

Publication History

Outing began publishing in 1882 as The Wheelman, "an illustrated magazine of cycling literature and news". In volume 4, the title changed to Outing and the Wheelman, and later just to Outing. These changes reflected a widening of scope to cover various forms of outdoor recreation. Outing ceased publication in 1923. All content of this serial is in the public domain in the US.
