The Occult and Biological Journal

The Occult and Biological Journal was a journal "devoted to biology, metaphysics, and esoteric sciences", edited and published by Hiram E. Butler around the turn of the 20th century. It was a continuation of Butler's earlier journal, The Esoteric.

Publication History

The first issue of The Occult and Biological Journal is dated September/Libra 1900. (Issues were dated by astrological periods on the masthead, and by months elsewhere. The title page of the first issue gives "The Biological Journal" as the title, but the longer title is used thereafter.) The last issue of The Occult and Biological Journal, dated August/Virgo 1902, includes an announcement that it would be replaced with Bible Review. (We have separate listings for that periodical.)
