The Ontario Argus was a newspaper published in Ontario, Oregon.

Publication History

The Ontario Argus began around 1900, as a successor to the Vale District Silver Advocate, which this newspaper's owner had bought that year. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. It ran until 1947, when it merged with the Eastern Oregon Observer to form the Ontario Argus-Observer. The Argus Observer continues to publish today.
