The African Repository was the journal of the American Colonization Society, an organization promoting the migration of African Americans to Africa. (There is a Wikipedia article about this serial.)

Publication History

The African Repository began in 1825 as The African Repository and Colonial Journal. It published its first full volume in 1826. In 1850 the name shortened to The African Repository It ran until 1892. It was succeeded by another periodical titled Liberia.
