American Educational Monthly was a 19th century education periodical. The full title varied somewhat over time.
American Educational Monthly began in 1864. In 1867 it absorbed New York Teacher, and became American Educational Monthly and New York Teacher, then The New York Teacher and American Educational Monthy in 1868, and then American Educational Monthly again in 1870. It ran until 1875, and was succeeded the following year by Schermerhorn's Monthly.
