Publication History

The first American Journal of Numismatics began in 1866, and ran until 1924. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. (More details) A second series began in 1989, as a continuation of the American Numismatic Society Museum Notes. It is still published today.

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1866-1919: HathiTrust has volumes 1-53 of the first series, and an index to the first 50 volumes. Some of the volumes may be reprints.
• 1989-2008: HathiTrust also has volumes 1-20 of the second series.
