The Original American Lloyd's Register of American and Foreign Shipping

The Original American Lloyd's Register of American and Foreign Shipping was an annual shipping register published in New York in the late 18005

Publication History

The Original American Lloyd's Register of American and Foreign Shipping first appeared in 1857 as the New-York Marine Register. In 1859, it was renamed the American Lloyd's Registry of American and Foreign Shipping. Some time after a rival publisher put out another registry using the "Lloyd's" name, it changed its name to the title above. The serial appears to have ceased publication with the 1883 issue, apparently losing out to yet another rival registry, "Record of American and Foreign Shipping".
