The American Yacht List was an annual New York publication listing yacht clubs of the United States and Canada, along with related information.
The American Yacht List appears to have first appeared in 1874, copyrighted by Niels Olsen. Later annuals appear to have been published by T. Manning (which either renamed it to, or replaced it with, "Manning's Yacht Register" in 1898). That in turn was succeeded in 1903 by "Lloyd's Register of American Yachts", which ran until 1977. I have not found any currently publishing successor serial that focuses exclusively on yachts, but a reader informs me that the Social Register's annual summer issue includes an extensive yacht listing. Some yachts are also in the Register of Wooden Boats database (rwb.woodenboats.com).
This is a record of a major serial archive. This page is maintained for The Online Books Page. (See our criteria for listing serial archives.) This page has no affiliation with the serial or its publisher.
