Publication History

Annales des Sciences Naturelles: Botanique began in 1834, as one of the specialized journals succeeding Annales des Sciences Naturelles. Its first series was numbered 2 (the first being the predecessor journal). Series 3 began in 1844, series 4 in 1854, series 5 in 1864, series 6 in 1875, series 7 in 1885, series 8 in 1895, series 9 in 1905, and series 10 in 1919. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. (More details) It ran as Annales des Sciences Naturelles: Botanique until 1937, and was thereafter renamed Annales des Sciences Naturelles: Botanique et Biologie Végétale. That in turn ran until 1991.

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1834-1922: The Biodiversity Heritage Library has series 2-9, and volumes 1-4 of series 10.
• 1834, 1844-1870, 1872-1876, 1878, 1880-1914, 1917, 1919-1937: Gallica has most volumes of this serial through 1937.
• 1835-1838, 1840-1922, 1928: HathiTrust has parts of series 2, series 3-9, and volumes 1-4 and 10 of series 10. Access to volumes after 1898 may be restricted outside the United States. Some later volumes may be searchable but not readable online here. Volumes may be listed out of order.
