Anthropological Series

Anthropological Series was the original title of a series of monographs published by what is now the Field Museum in Chicago. It was a subseries of their overall Publication series.

Publication History

The first publication in the Field Columbian Museum's Anthropological Series was published in 1895. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. (More details) A total of 35 volumes were published, with volume numbering in the series not always following publication order. Fieldiana: Anthropology began in 1945 to replace this series, but issues in preparation continued to be published under the Anthropological Series title through 1951.
