Archives de l'Art Français

Archives de l'Art Français was a French art history journal, published for much of is run by the Société de l'Histoire de l'Art Français.

Publication History

The first run of Archives de l'Art Français lasted from 1851 to 1862 (with series starting in 1851 and 1861). The second run lasted from 1872 to 1906 as Nouvelles Archives de l'Art Français (with series starting in 1872, 1879, and 1885). The third run, also titled Archives de l'Art Français, began in 1907 (with early volumes described as "nouvelle période), and appears to have run well into the 20th century, but does not appear to be published now. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. (More details) The Société de l'Histoire de l'Art Français appears to still be in existence, however.
