L'Astronomie is a French astronomical journal published by the Société Astronomique de France. (There is a Wikipedia article about this serial.)

Publication History

The first issue of L'Astronomie was for 1882 (though the front page shows a publication date of January 1, 1883). L'Astronomie initially ran until 1894, after which it was absorbed by the Société's Bulletin. In 1911, the Bulletin was renamed L'Astronomie, which continued its volume numbering (and for a time also used the Bulletin title in some editions). No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. (More details) It is still published today.

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1882-1894: Gallica has all 13 volumes of the initial series.
• 1882-1894: HathiTrust also has all 13 volumes of the initial series.
• 1911-1945: Gallica has volumes 25-49 of the series that the Bulletin developed into. This series continues today.
