Buffalo Medical Journal

Buffalo Medical Journal was the first and final name of a medical journal published in Buffalo in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Publication History

Buffalo Medical Journal began in 1845. A new series began in 1861, when the journal was named the Buffalo Medical and Surgical Journal and Reporter. The name shortened to the Buffalo Medical and Surgical Journal the following year, and reverted to the Buffalo Medical Journal in 1896. From 1899 to about 1905 volumes were numbered both by their "new series" counting from 1861, and their complete series counting from 1845. The journal ran until 1918.
