Bulletin

The Florida State Teachers Association, an African-American teachers group, published a Bulletin for a substantial portion of its existence. Its full title varies over time.

Publication History

The Florida State Teachers Association was founded in 1890 as the Association of Colored Teachers, but later changed its name to the Florida State Teachers Association. Its Bulletin appears to have begun in the 1920s. The masthead of the earliest issue we could find, from 1936, has the title "Florida State Teachers' Bulletin" on the masthead and "Florida Teachers' Bulletin" on the cover. The Florida State Teachers Association was absorbed into the Florida Education Association in 1966. The title of its Bulletin by then was "The Bulletin of the Florida State Teachers Association". No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial.
