Bulletin de la Société Géologique de France began in 1830. The first series ran 14 volumes. A second series of 29 volumes began in 1844. A third series of 28 volumes began in 1873. A fourth series of 30 volumes began in 1901. A fifth series of 20 volumes began in 1931. A sixth series of 8 volumes began in 1951. A seventh series of 26 volumes began in 1959. An eighth series of 6 volumes began in 1985. Since 1991 volumes have been numbered from the overall start of the serial. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial.
