The Burlington Free Press began in 1827 as a weekly newspaper. A daily edition began in 1848, initially called The Daily Free Press and later the Burlington Daily Free Press. The weekly edition was renamed the Burlington Weekly Free Press in 1866, and ceased publication in the 1920s, while the daily edition continued as The Burlington Free Press. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. It is still published today.
