Belmont Chronicle was a newspaper published in Belmont County, Ohio.

Publication History

Belmont Chronicle began publishing under that title in 1836 (with predecessor titles publishing for some years beforehand). In 1848 it was renamed 'Belmont Chronicle, and Farmers, Mechanics, and Manufacturers Advocate', but then reverted to Belmont Chronicle in 1855. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. It ran until 1973, when merged with the St. Clairsville Gazette to become the St. Clairsville Gazette-Chronicle. Its present-day sccessor is the Times-Leader.
