Berliner Museen

Berliner Museen was a publication of what is now the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, in Germany, focusing on its art collections. Its exact title and subtitle varied somewhat over time.

Publication History

Berliner Museen began in 1880 as Amtliche Berichte aus den Königlichen Kunstsammlungen. (Issues up to 1907 were republished in Jahrbuch der Königlich Preussischen Kunstsammlungen.) It was renamed Amtliche Berichte aus den Preuszischen Kunstsammlungen, and Berliner Museen in 1919 (with varying subtitles from then on). No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. (More details) It appears to have run until the 1970s.

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1880-1906: HathiTrust has volumes 1-28 of the Jahrbuch that included Amtliche Berichte aus den Königlichen Kunstsammlungen, along with later Jahrbuch volumes through the end of the first World War.
• 1907-1924: HathiTrust has volumes 29-45 freely readable online. Access may be restricted outside the United States. Some later volumes may be searchable but not readable online here.
