The British Medical Journal was the title of a medical journal published by the British Medical Association in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Publication History

The British Medical Journal began publishing under that title in 1857, succeeding the Association Medical Journal. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. (More details) For some of its run it was published in various country-specific editions, and in the 1980s it also was published in different editions for different specialties. The British Medical Journal was renamed BMJ in 1988.
