The Connecticut Common School Journal was an education journal published in the 19th century.

Publication History

The Connecticut Common School Journal began in 1838. Publication was suspended between 1842 and 1851. The journal was renamed the Connecticut Common School Journal and Annals of Education in 1854 and started a new series, but the old volume numbering continued in parallel, and the shorter title The Connecticut Common School Journal continued to be used on the title pages of the bound volumes. The Connecticut Common School Journal ran unti 1866.

• 1851: The Internet Archive has volume 5, scanned from microfilm.
• 1852: The Internet Archive has volume 6, scanned from microfilm.
• 1853: The Internet Archive has volume 8, numbers 1-7, 9, and 12, scanned from microfilm. Volume numbering appears to have gone from 6 straight to 8; it is unclear why volume number 7 was skipped. Some issues of this volume were published as combined numbers, and page numbering is not always consistent or continuous within this volume.
• 1853: JSTOR has volume 8, number 8, dated August 1853.
• 1853: JSTOR has volume 8, number 10, dated October 1853.
• 1853: JSTOR has volume 8, number 11, dated November 1853.
• 1854: HathiTrust has volume 1 of the new series, volume 9 overall.
• 1855: HathiTrust has volume 2 of the new series, volume 10 overall.
• 1856: HathiTrust has volume 3 of the new series, volume 11 overall.
