Cumulative Index to a Selected List of Periodicals was an index of articles in major periodicals published in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Cumulative Index to a Selected List of Periodicals grew out of a catalog maintained by the Cleveland Public Library, which published the first volume of the Index in 1896. After the first 3 volumes, the Cumulative Index Co. was formed to publish the Index. The Index ceased in 1903, and was absorbed into the Readers' Guide to Periodical Literature.
