Publication History

Curtis's Botanical Magazine is said by some sources to have begun publishing in 1787. However, the archives below include copies of Volume 1 with a publication date of 1790. This may reflect a later printing. The first few volumes are simply titled The Botanical Magazine. It is still published today.

• 1787-1800: The Biodiversity Heritage Library has the first 14 volumes, when it was published as The Botanical Magazine.
• 1787-1807: The National Agricultural Library has many images from the first 26 volumes. Issues cannot be browsed, but one can search for specific images.
• 1790-1796, 1799: Project Gutenberg has volumes 1-10 and 13 in illustrated HTML.
• 1801-1920: The Biodiversity Heritage Library has volumes 15-146, and indexes for volumes 1-70.
