Le Chercheur was a short-lived 19th century Quebec-based French-language "revue éclectique" of literature, science, and the arts. I do not know if it has any relation to a similarly-titled periodical published at the same time in Paris.

The first issues of Le Chercheur is dated October 4, 1888. Its last issue is dated December 15, 1889.
