Chicago Catholic is the official newspaper of the Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago.
Chicago Catholic traces its roots back to 1892, with the start of a newspaper called The New World. That paper became Chicago Catholic in 1977. It reverted to The New World in the late 1980s (which later became Catholic New World), and resumed the name Chicago Catholic in 2017. It is still published today.
