The Christian Scholar began publishing under that title in 1953, replacing Christian Education and continuing its volume numbering. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. (More details) The Christian Scholar ran under that title until 1967, and then changed its name to "Soundings: An Interdisciplinary Journal", a title that continues today.
