Publication History

The Christian Century began in 1884 as a Disciples of Christ publication called the Christian Oracle. It took on its current name in first issue of 1900, and widened its denominational scope over time. The first actively copyright-renewed issue is January 9, 1957 (v. 74 no. 2). The first actively copyright-renewed contribution is from October 2, 1940. (More details) It is still published today.
