The Compendium of American Genealogy

The Compendium of American Genealogy was a series of volumes briefly describing the lineages of "the first families of America". Each volume is complete in itself, and there is no overall ordering of the people or families described in the series. (There is a Wikipedia article about this serial.)

Publication History

The first volume was published in 1925 as The Abridged Compendium of American Genealogy. The shorter name was adopted in 1930 with the fourth volume. The seventh and last volume was published in 1942. The first copyright-renewed issue is 1942 (v. 7). We know of no actively copyright-renewed contributions. (More details)
