Publication History

The Congressional Record began publication in 1873, and is still published today. For debates of Congressional sessions before 1873, see the related links below.

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1873-2016: GovInfo now has the bound edition for the 43rd Congress through the 114th Congress (bound edition volumes 1-162).
• 1873-1875: An archive at the Library of Congress has the Congressional Record for the 43rd Congress.
• 1899-present: Congress.gov has the official copy for the 56th Congress onward.
• 1989-1994: Congress.gov has a web-archived Congressional record for the 101st through 103rd Congresses.
