Consumer Price Index was the title of a monthly report on consumer price movements published by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics in the mid-20th century.

Publication History

Consumer Price Index began publishing under that title in 1953, succeeding Consumers' Price Index and Retail Prices of Food. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. (More details) It ran until 1974, and was then retitled CPI Detailed Report. Consumer Price Index statistics continue to be published online today, though not in the same form as the 20th-century newsletter.
