The Cornhill Magazine

The Cornhill Magazine was a Victorian magazine and literary journal published in London from 1860 to 1975. (There is a Wikipedia article about this serial.)

Publication History

The Cornhill Magazine was founded by George Murray Smith in 1859, with the first issue dated January 1860. A second series began in 1883, and a third in 1896. No issue copyright renewals were found for this serial. The first copyright-renewed contribution is from August 1936. (More details) Volume numbering was changed in 1933 to count from the beginning of the magazine (and some libraries retrospectively number older volumes that way). Publication was suspended between 1940 and 1943. The magazine ceased publication in 1975.
