Debrett's Peerage and Baronetage

Debrett's Peerage and Baronetage (or simply Debrett's Peerage) is the usual short title of a reference work on British nobility published for many years by Debrett's. The full title has varied somewhat over time, with one common longer title being Debrett's Peerage, Baronetage, Knightage and Companionage. In some years the reference may have been published in multiple volumes and in differing editions with slightly different titles.

Publication History

Debrett's was founded in 1769, and first published The New Peerage that year. Updated editions were published under various titles every few years. For some time the Peerage and Baronetage volumes appear to have been published in separate series; in other years they appear to have been combined. The last printed edition was published in 2019. Debrett's continues to make an online Peerage and Baronetage database available by subscription.
