Publication History
Detective Story Magazine began in 1915. The first actively copyright-renewed issue is January 12, 1929 (v. 107 no. 1), © January 4, 1929. The first actively copyright-renewed contribution is from September 28, 1929 (v. 113 no. 2). (More details) It was known as Street and Smith's Detective Story Magazine from 1931 onward. It ceased publication in 1949.
