The American Psychological Association (APA) regularly publishes a Directory with information on the Associations officers, members, and/or organizations and activities. Its title has varied over time.

Publication History

The American Psychological Association was founded in 1892. From its early days it regularly published its constitution and lists of officers and members. The annual member lists began being published under the title Directory in 1948. Directories were published annually until the early 21st century. Currently the APA publishes directories online.

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1957: HathiTrust has the 1957 Directory free to read online. Access may be restricted outside the United States.

• The APA website has current information about the organization, including a comprehensive member directory available to APA members, and a Psychologist Locator for the general public seeking professional services.
