The Evansville Journal was a newspaper published in Evansville, Indiana. The title of daily and weekly editions varied somewhat over time.
The Evansville Journal began in 1834 as the Evansville Journal of General Advertiser. The name later shortened to The Evansville Journal. A daily edition, the Evansville Daily Journal, began in 1848, and was known for part of its run as The Daily Evansville Journal. Less frequent editions were also sometimes titled Evansville Weekly Journal, or Tri-Weekly Journal. The Evansville Journal was bought by the Evansville Courier Company in 1923, and ceased publication in 1936. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial.
