The Electrical Experimenter was the original name of a popular technology magazine edited by Hugo Gernsback and published in the early 20th century. The magazine also sometimes ran science fiction stories.
Publication History
The Electrical Experimenter began in 1913. By 1918, the subtitle "Science and Invention" appeared as a cover subtitle, and the magazine's title changed to Science and Invention in 1920.
Persistent Archives of Complete Issues
- 1913-1920: American Radio History has most issues of this magazine, as well as various Science and Invention issues.
- 1915-1916: The Internet Archive has volume 3, covering May 1915 through April 1916.
- 1916-1917: The Internet Archive has volume 4, numbers 2, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, and 12, for June, September, October, and November 1916, and January, March, and April 1917. Some material has been cut out of some issues.
- 1917-1918: The Internet Archive has volume 5, covering May 1917 through April 1918.
- 1917-1918: The Internet Archive has volume 6, covering May 1917 through April 1918.
- 1919-1920: The Internet Archive has volume 7, covering May 1919 through April 1920.
- 1920: The Internet Archive has volume 8. Number 3 (July 1920) was the last issue published under the "Electrical Experimenter" name; later issues in this volume are published solely as "Science and Invention".
- 1920: HathiTrust also has another scan of volume 8.
