Federal Prisons

Federal Prisons was the title of an annual report of the work of the US Bureau of Prisons, published in the mid-19th century.

Publication History

The first report published as Federal Prisons was for 1942-1943. (Similar earlier reports appear to have been published under the title Federal Offenders.) The last report published under this title was for 1962-1963. The Bureau published similar reports in later years simply titled "Annual Report".

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1942-1963: HathiTrust has all Federal Prisons reports except for 1955-1956, as well as some earlier and later annual reports.
• 1953-1963: HathiTrust also has a bound volume with annual reports for 1953-1964, including the 1955-1956 Federal Prisons report. Reports might not be bound in chronological order.
