Flight was the original name of a British aviation journal. The full title varied somewhat over time.

Publication History

Flight began in 1909. It was published as "Flight and the Aircraft Engineer" from 1917 to 1919, as "Flight: The Aircraft Engineer and Airships" from 1919 to 1939, as "Flight and the Aircraft Engineer" again from 1939 to 1944, as "Flight and Aircraft Engineer" from 1944 to 1959, and "Flight: Aircraft, Spacecraft, Missiles" from 1959 to 1961. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. (More details) In 1962 it was renamed Flight International, which continues to be published today.
