German American Annals

German American Annals was a periodical "devoted to the comparative study of the historical, literary, linguistic, educational and commercial relations of Germany and America." It was published for most of its run by the German American Historical Society. Articles were written in German and in English.

Publication History

German American Annals began in 1897 as Americana Germanica. In 1903, the periodical was renamed "German American Annals", and its volumes continued the Americana Germanica numbers as the "old series", alongside "new series" volume numbering starting at 1. The journal ceased publication in 1919.
